to the rain forest of the amazon
Queer Spirit recently returned from Peru after a 14-day journey to Machu Picchu, Lake Titicaca, the floating islands as well as other sacred sites in the highlands of the Andes. These 11 men from Queer Spirit met Ruben, an archeologist and Shaman from The Sacred Valley of Peru. His love for his country and traditional ways deeply facilitated a wonderful journey of beautiful sites, as well as a spiritual feast of profound proportions. March 15-28, 2009 we will journey to Lima, Peru, departing the next morning to the Amazon Rain Forest and working with the local shamans of this region. There, we will explore the Rain Forest, swim with the pink dolphins, walk amongst the flora of the forest and connect with the local indigenous communities of this ancient and traditional land. This transformational journey will allow us to access the nature of the ancient sites with the assistance of the shamanic ceremonies, medicine plants, and spirits indigenous to these lands and people.
For 14 days we will travel the region of the Rain Forest, taste of the culture, be with the people and explore, with the assistance of the ceremonies, the magic of our lives.
The cost of the trip includes most expenses once arriving in Lima, Peru, including hotels, retreat centers, food, guides, domestic flights within Peru (at least 3 flights), train and bus transportation and the cost of an all day spa we will visit in our transition home. The cost of this trip is $3350. (Queer Spirit is not a travel agency but working as a mediator between our guide who establishes our arrangements and you as the guest.)
Your cost outside of this fee is your international flight to/from Lima, Peru, all tips and beverages as well as your own personal expenses.
