Rattle Making Workshop

On January 22-24, 2010, Kari Schreck-Taylor returns to Salt Lake City to offer a workshop on creating rattles (Gourd and Rawhide). These are the same rattles that are effectively used in the lodges and other ceremonies/rituals, for both personal and spiritual ceremonies. Kari is a gifted artsian who creates beautiful works.
Here are samples of these rattles both rawhide and gourd style. We will begin our workshop with creating intent/vision for what we are creating, then Kari will work with us throughout the weekend showing us how to create a rattle that will have a powerful sound unique to your vision.
Friday: Intention Circle/Lodge... to invite guidance for the weekend.
Saturday: cleaning and creating our rattles.
Sunday: Complete our rattles. Teaching on how to work with your rattles in lodge or meditation

Workshop is limited to 20 people. Kari will have all the supplies you need. There will be an information packet with suggestions of items to bring. This event is open to ALL who are interested in learning about Rattle Making.
Meals will be on your own.
Kari is collecting all the necessary items and supplies necessary for the workshop. You will need to show up, perhaps bring some personal items for the rattle (Information Packet to be supplied). Cost is $150.00 for the whole weekend and pre-payment is necessary. Event will be held in my home (Holladay Utah). Folks traveling out of town who may need housing assistance are welcome to contact me.
